Trump: I don't need anyone to explain to me the pros and cons of firing Powell

ChainCatcher news, according to a previous report by The Wall Street Journal, U.S. Treasury Secretary Mnuchin privately explained to Trump in recent days why he believes there should not be an attempt to remove Powell. On Sunday, Trump posted a response on his Truth Social platform, stating that he does not need Mnuchin to explain to him that firing Powell would be detrimental to the market.

Trump wrote, "The Wall Street Journal published a typical false report today, claiming that Mnuchin explained to me that firing the worst Federal Reserve Chairman in history, 'Mr. Too Late' Powell, would be bad for the market. I don't need anyone to explain this to me. I know better than anyone what is good for the market and what is good for America.
