Deutsche Bank: Tariff costs are borne by Americans themselves, and the dollar faces downward pressure

ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, Deutsche Bank analyst George Saravelos stated that the dollar is under downward pressure due to the impact of tariff costs on Americans.

Saravelos pointed out that if the tariff costs were borne by foreigners, the selling prices should decrease, but this trend has not been observed except in a few cases. However, he also mentioned that since U.S. inflation is still under control, it is not the consumers who mainly bear the tariff costs, but the importers.

Saravelos stated: "Since the tariff costs are mainly borne by the U.S., this becomes another bearish factor for the dollar."
