The EU has approved a countermeasure plan against US tariffs totaling 93 billion euros

The day before, a spokesperson for the European Commission stated on July 23 that the EU plans to merge two lists of retaliatory tariffs on U.S. export goods into a single unified list totaling €93 billion. This list mainly involves high-value industrial products such as aircraft, automobiles, and electrical equipment. The total amount of the package of retaliatory tariffs formed by the two lists reaches €93 billion. European Commission spokesperson Olov Gill stated on July 23 that if negotiations with the U.S. break down, the countermeasures will take effect on August 7.
