Former Gemini and Kraken executive Ji Hun Kim has been appointed as the CEO of the Crypto Innovation Council

ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, former executives of the crypto trading platforms Gemini and Kraken, Ji Hun Kim, have been officially appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Crypto Innovation Council (CCI).

Kim previously worked at Gemini for three years and at Kraken for less than a year, after which he served as the Chief Legal and Policy Officer of CCI. Kim has been serving as the interim CEO of the organization since December 2024.

CCI is one of the leading industry advocacy organizations that regularly provides digital asset policy recommendations to U.S. lawmakers and regulators. Kim stated in a statement that this is a critical time for the industry's development and that a bridge needs to be built between technology and public policy.
