ChainCatcher news, according to Xinhua News Agency, Li Chenggang, the international trade negotiation representative and deputy minister of the Ministry of Commerce of China, stated on the 29th that in the past day and a half, the economic and trade teams of China and the United States have continued to utilize the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism based on the consensus reached during the phone call between the two heads of state on June 5, engaging in in-depth, candid, and constructive exchanges on major issues of mutual concern.

According to the consensus between China and the United States, both sides will continue to promote the extension of the 24% reciprocal tariffs that the U.S. has suspended, as well as China's countermeasures, as scheduled.
