ChainCatcher news, according to Bitcoin.com News, Kazakhstan has uncovered a $16.5 million electricity fraud case related to cryptocurrency miners.

The energy company illegally supplied power to mining operations—this lasted for two full years, during which miners were only supposed to purchase excess electricity through the platform of the Ministry of Energy—but these regulations were ignored.
