ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, AMLBot CEO Slava Demchuk pointed out that in the first half of 2025, cryptocurrency-related crime losses in Asia have exceeded $1.5 billion, surpassing the total for the entire year of 2024. Analysis shows that unauthorized over-the-counter trading and mobile payment channels in Southeast Asia have become new tools for money laundering.

The report suggests that blockchain analysis companies need to establish regional risk databases and collaborate with local law enforcement. Countries like Thailand and Malaysia have achieved a reduction in the time for fund freezing from months to hours through public-private partnership models.
