Circle acquires high-performance consensus engine Malachite to support its Arc network
ChainCatcher news, according to Chainwire, Informal Systems announced today that its high-performance consensus engine Malachite has been acquired by the global fintech company Circle Internet Group (CRCL) to support the launch of Arc, a Layer-1 blockchain network designed specifically for stablecoin finance.
The integration of Malachite by Circle will enhance the performance, reliability, and security of stablecoin payments, further realizing the vision of a low-cost, borderless trusted financial infrastructure. The Malachite codebase will continue to be maintained under the Apache 2 open-source license, ensuring ongoing innovation in the industry.
