Australia's ASIC has taken down approximately 3,015 cryptocurrency scam websites in the past two years

ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) disclosed that over the past two years, more than 14,000 scam and phishing websites have been taken down, of which about 20% are cryptocurrency scam websites, approximately 3,015. ASIC stated that it will expand its crackdown from website takedowns to social media advertisements to help protect Australian consumers from scams.
