Johnson has set September 3 as her last day in office, having previously expressed her intention to leave, marking the latest case in a high-profile exodus from the derivatives regulatory agency.
Johnson is one of four commissioners who have announced their departure or have already left since the beginning of this year. Since taking office, President Trump has been committed to bringing pro-cryptocurrency Republican leaders into his administration.
