CFTC relaxes regulations for overseas cryptocurrency exchanges entering the U.S. market
ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) recently issued guidance allowing certain overseas cryptocurrency exchanges to legally offer derivatives to U.S. traders. This move opens up the possibility for companies like Binance Holdings Limited to re-enter the U.S. market.
Under the new regulations, foreign platforms must register as "foreign trading boards" and obtain full licensing under a regulatory framework deemed comparable to U.S. standards by the CFTC.
