HSBC raises S&P 500 year-end target to 6,500 points
ChainCatcher news, according to Jinshi reports, HSBC has published a report stating that it has once again raised its year-end target for the S&P 500 index from 6,400 points to 6,500 points, following an increase in early August. HSBC indicated that corporate performance momentum in the second quarter is strong, particularly in technology and financial stocks, and companies have indicated that the impact of tariffs is moderate. In addition, HSBC expects the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates in September, with a total expected reduction of 0.75 percentage points by 2026. HSBC has also raised its earnings per share growth forecast for the index this year from 9% to 12%.
