Data: $23 billion in BTC and ETH options contracts will expire on Friday

ChainCatcher news, Deribit data shows that approximately $23 billion in Bitcoin and Ethereum options contracts will expire on Friday, marking one of the largest expiration days in history.

Among the options contracts expiring at the end of this month, the largest bets are concentrated at two extremes: protective options to guard against prices falling below $95,000, and call options betting on prices soaring above $140,000. Short-term bets have become popular, reflecting market sentiment that a sudden short squeeze or forced liquidation will drive the next move.
