ChainCatcher news, U.S. District Judge Loretta A. Preska of the Southern District of New York ruled on Wednesday that investor Darshan Hasthantra is qualified to represent shareholders of CleanSpark in a class action lawsuit. The lawsuit alleges that the company made misleading statements during its transition from clean energy to Bitcoin mining.

The judge dismissed CleanSpark's defense that individual issues outweighed common ones, finding that the company's challenge to investor reliance at the class certification stage was inappropriate. This ruling opens a judicial pathway for investors to collectively seek justice.
