Plasma distributes XPL tokens worth $8390 to all users participating in the ICO deposit program
ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, Plasma has distributed $8,390 worth of XPL tokens for free to all users who participated in the ICO pre-deposit program, even if these users ultimately did not purchase tokens through the ICO. Plasma stated that within three hours of its mainnet beta launch, half of the ICO participants had claimed their tokens.
Plasma is a layer blockchain optimized for stablecoins, using the XPL token to drive its staking-based consensus mechanism. The project has received funding support from Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino and PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel, among others.
