Stripe plans to apply for an OCC federal trust charter to comply with U.S. stablecoin legislation requirements
ChainCatcher news, according to The Information, Stripe plans to apply for a national trust license from federal banking regulators to comply with the upcoming U.S. stablecoin legislation requirements, allowing it to continue issuing stablecoins for customers.
The company is preparing to submit an application to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
