TOKEN2049 Roundtable: How to Grow the Vault from 10 Billion to 100 Billion Dollars
ChainCatcher live report, Dragonfly General Partner Tom Schmidt, Gauntlet CEO Tarun Chitra, Drift founder Cindy Leow, Ouroboros Capital's Ouroboro, and DeFiance Capital's Kyle Cai attended the TOKEN 2049 conference and discussed in a roundtable titled "How Do Vault Go From $10b To $100b?" the issues faced by vaults (like Yearn) during the 2020 DeFi Summer, which only provided simple yield aggregation but encountered problems such as poor liquidity management and lack of proactive adjustments.
The new generation of vaults has evolved into two main types: "native" Primitive Vaults that directly generate yields, and "evolved aggregation" Aggregated vaults products that have comprehensive risk and liquidity management.
Participants pointed out that with the rise of complex strategies like RWA tokenization, ordinary investors find it difficult to operate independently. Vaults have become a bridge connecting professional traders and retail investors, allowing users to access annualized returns of 30% with a minimum investment of just $10.
The functionality of vaults continues to expand, evolving from simple investment tools into idle fund management solutions, even blurring the lines with stablecoins. New products centered around composability can simultaneously meet the needs of conservative and aggressive investors, pushing the DeFi ecosystem into a more mature stage.
