ChainCatcher news, according to ZachXBT, has successfully identified a suspect in the Bittensor ($TAO) theft incident through investigation and received a bounty for its white hat actions. The case resulted in over $28 million being stolen from 32 TAO holders.
ZachXBT traced the on-chain transfer records, Railgun privacy protocol flows, Avalanche bridging records, and unusual NFT laundering behaviors (such as purchasing anime NFTs at prices far above the floor price) to ultimately link to a former employee's address, revealing the path of the stolen funds.
