ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, at an event held in Washington D.C., SEC Chairman Paul Atkins stated that the United States has fallen behind by a decade in the crypto space, and addressing this issue is a top priority for regulators.

Atkins mentioned that he believes the U.S. may have fallen behind in cryptocurrency by about 10 years. He pointed out that the SEC aims to establish a strong framework to encourage those who may have left the U.S. to return. The agency hopes this framework will allow innovation to thrive.
