Jack Dorsey questions Tether's donation of $250,000 to the Bitcoin developer support organization OpenSats as being too low
ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, stablecoin giant Tether announced this week a donation of $250,000 to the Bitcoin developer support organization OpenSats, a move that was immediately met with public skepticism from Twitter co-founder and Block (formerly Square) CEO Jack Dorsey.
After Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino announced the donation on X, Dorsey briefly responded, "Why only $250,000?"
Tether reported a profit of $13 billion last year and is seeking to raise funds at a valuation of $500 billion. In contrast, Dorsey revealed that he has donated over $21 million to OpenSats through his Start Small fund and has long supported decentralized and open-source Bitcoin development.
