In 2 days, I sold NFTs worth 8.72 ETH and made 90,000 yuan
Two days ago, I spent 4.86 ETH to buy a generative art piece called "Quine," and early this morning, I sold it for 8.72 ETH.
Of course, I feel a bit anxious: I hope it doesn't rise to 20 ETH in the future, or I will feel quite regretful.

Profit of 90,000 in Two Days
The generative art piece I bought is an NFT. The series is called "Quine by Larva Labs."
On the day of the release, it was extremely popular, with a total of 500 pieces. The creator reserved 3 pieces, leaving 497 collectibles, which sold out quickly at a price of 7.5625 ETH each, raising a total of 14.8 million dollars (3600 ETH).
I was paying attention on the day of the release, wanting to see how it performed after going live. After two or three hours, the price started to drop, coinciding with a downturn in the entire crypto market. I placed an offer at 4.86 ETH and successfully snagged it.
The next day, the price gradually rebounded, and the floor price reached 9 ETH. I listed it for 8.72 ETH and successfully sold it.

The profit in two days was a floating gain of 3.86 ETH. After deducting the platform transaction fee of 1% and the creator's royalty of 7.5%, the final profit was 3.1188 ETH, equivalent to 90,000 RMB.
Why Spend 150,000 on a Small Image?
On the day of purchase, I spent nearly 150,000 RMB on this small image. Why was I willing to buy it?
First, look at the issuing entity, then the issuing platform.
Both are top-tier, which is why it has high popularity overseas. Many big names, collectors, and whales abroad have bought from this series. I should be the only Chinese person who bought from this series.
Additionally, the liquidity of the entire series is good, making it easy to sell after purchase.

The issuing entity is: Larva Labs. Many people may not have heard of it, but you must have heard of CryptoPunks - the earliest and most influential NFT project in the world.

In June 2021, at an online auction at Sotheby's, a CryptoPunk NFT numbered #7523 sold for 11.75 million dollars, setting a historical record for a single CryptoPunk.
The last public transaction was in 2017, when a user bought it for 8 ETH (about 646 dollars).
According to data from IntoTheBlock, as of today, the historical transaction volume of CryptoPunks has reached 3.71 billion dollars.
Currently, the cheapest CryptoPunk costs 46.7 ETH, equivalent to over 1.3 million RMB. It's worth noting that these punks were originally free to claim. This series has more influence than Bored Apes and has long held the No. 1 position.
Larva Labs has also launched 3D pixel characters called Meebits, with a total of 20,000.
Additionally, there is a generative art series called Autoglyphs, with a total of 512 pieces, and the floor price is around 80 ETH, recognized as the first on-chain generative art, a holy grail in people's minds. The total transaction volume is 21,000 ETH.

The issuing platform is: artblocks, the largest generative art platform in the world, where the best generative art comes from. For example, Fidenza, Ringers, Chromie Squiggle.
This collaboration is a strong alliance, attracting attention from the entire overseas NFT community. So it is very topical and has a lot of traffic.
Casual Talk on Generative Art
Currently, the best chain for generative art is Ethereum. Other chains also have generative art, but they lack volume.
The same generative art piece posted on different chains has different perceived values among users.
If you post it on Ethereum, people will feel there is a sufficiently high ceiling and a large imaginative space. If posted on Tezos, it will seem very cheap.
Currently, very few people in China pay attention to generative art, but it has already become popular overseas. I have also laid out a generative art series called Number early on in this track.
I believe that with the development of crypto culture, generative art will become one of the core narratives of NFTs in the coming years.
I am also looking forward to seeing more and more people in China pay attention to generative art.
