Data: BTC and ETH options with a total value of 17 billion dollars will expire

ChainCatcher news, according to crypto.news, the cryptocurrency market is preparing for significant volatility, with over $17 billion worth of Bitcoin and Ethereum options contracts set to expire on October 31 at the cryptocurrency derivatives exchange Deribit. Among them, the Bitcoin options expiration is valued at $14.4 billion, including 72,716 call options contracts and 54,945 put options contracts; the Ethereum options expiration is valued at $2.6 billion. Call options dominate, indicating that traders are betting on BTC prices to rise before expiration.
