According to Jinshi News, four Federal Reserve officials expressed concerns about the possibility of a rate cut this week and another cut in December. Kansas City Fed President George Schmidt opposed a 25 basis point cut, worrying about sticky inflation. Cleveland Fed President Loretta Mester and Dallas Fed President Lorie Logan also hinted that they would oppose a rate cut if they had voting rights, with Mester emphasizing the need to maintain a restrictive policy to curb inflation. Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic supports a rate cut but noted the need to ensure that the policy stance remains tight.
