The chairman of the House Agriculture Committee consults with the acting chairman of the CFTC to prepare for new regulations on cryptocurrency
According to crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett, House Agriculture Committee Chairman Glenn "GT" Thompson met with CFTC Acting Chair Caroline D. Pham on Thursday to discuss how the agency is preparing to expand cryptocurrency regulation and formulate new rules next year, with the market structure bill expected to pass.
Caroline D. Pham met with Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Senator John Boozman last week on similar matters. Previously, it was reported that the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee is set to release a bipartisan joint draft related to the cryptocurrency market structure bill.
