ARK Invest founder and CEO Cathie Wood stated in an interview with CNBC that she has lowered her price prediction for Bitcoin in 2030 from $1.5 million to $1.2 million.

She explained that the rapid adoption of stablecoins in developing economies is changing the landscape of digital asset usage. Wood believes that stablecoins are taking on some roles that she originally thought Bitcoin would play. Despite the downgrade in her prediction, she remains confident in Bitcoin's core position as a global decentralized currency network and a store of digital value, distinguishing it from stablecoins, which are primarily seen as "tokenized cash."
