Fanon: The end of the U.S. government shutdown may halt the rise of the dollar
According to Jinshi News, Crédit Agricole stated that the upward momentum of the dollar since October will face significant challenges as the U.S. government shutdown may soon come to an end. The bank pointed out that once the government shutdown ends and the release of economic data resumes, weak data may highlight its negative impact on the economy and bolster dovish sentiments. Furthermore, with the end of the government shutdown and the release of cash reserves by the Treasury, the liquidity premium of the dollar may diminish, which also removes another support factor for the dollar.
