Federal Reserve's Williams: Rate cuts possible "in the near term," bets on December rate cut increase

According to Jin Ten, traders increased their bets on the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates for the third consecutive time at the December meeting on Friday, as Fed's Williams indicated that the Fed might lower rates "in the near term." Short-term interest rate futures currently reflect a 57% probability of a rate cut in December, significantly higher than the previous level of below 50%.
