The UK is investigating the cryptocurrency scam Basis Markets, involving approximately $28 million

According to Catenaa, the UK's Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has launched an investigation into the cryptocurrency scam Basis Markets.

Basis Markets raised approximately $28 million through NFT sales and a cryptocurrency hedge fund at the end of 2021. With the support of the Metropolitan Police and West Yorkshire Police, the SFO arrested two men in their 30s and 40s who are suspected of multiple fraud and money laundering offenses. Investigators are urging informed investors to provide information to assist with the investigation.
