CZ responds to the incident of Binance employees profiting from token issuance

CZ responded on the X platform regarding the incident involving Binance employees allegedly profiting from insider information by stating, "Although I no longer manage Binance, I will handle any reports of employee misconduct properly if users report them through private messages or comments. I have heard that the above case has already been reported. Binance maintains close cooperation with law enforcement agencies in various countries (mainly to assist them), and those involved have nowhere to hide."

Earlier reports indicated that Binance posted on social media stating that its investigation into the "suspected employee token issuance" revealed that the relevant tokens were issued on-chain by the involved employee at 13:29 (UTC+8) on December 7, and some of the wording and images used in the tweet posted on the Binance Futures account at 13:30 were consistent. After verification, this behavior was confirmed to be the involved employee allegedly taking advantage of their position for personal gain, which has seriously violated the company's relevant regulations and code of conduct.

The involved employee has been immediately suspended, pending further disciplinary action. Binance has proactively contacted and will actively cooperate with the relevant law enforcement agencies in the employee's location to take appropriate legal action in accordance with applicable laws. According to the commitment, a total reward of $100,000 will be evenly distributed among the five earliest submitters of valid reports.
