Hut 8 signs a $7 billion lease agreement with Fluidstack, pre-market up over 18%
According to official news, Hut 8 has signed a 15-year lease agreement worth $7 billion with Fluidstack, leasing 245 megawatts (MW) of IT computing capacity from its River Bend data center campus.
Under the agreement, Fluidstack also obtained a right of first offer (ROFO) for up to an additional 1,000 MW of IT capacity during future expansion phases of the campus, provided that the power supply scale of the campus is correspondingly expanded.
According to market data, Bitcoin mining company Hut 8's stock rose over 18% in pre-market trading, with a market capitalization reaching $3.981 billion.
