CFTC Acting Chair Caroline Pham will join MoonPay as Chief Legal Officer
According to Crypto in America, CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) current acting chair Caroline Pham is set to join the crypto payment company MoonPay as Chief Legal and Administrative Officer. Pham will be responsible for the company's global legal and administrative functions and will lead its policy and regulatory strategy in the U.S. capital. This move comes as her nearly four-year term at the CFTC is coming to an end, with her successor Mike Selig set to receive Senate confirmation this week.
During her tenure at the CFTC, Pham has advocated for a series of crypto-friendly policies, including allowing spot crypto products to trade on U.S. federal regulated markets and launching a pilot program to allow Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDC stablecoins to be used as collateral in the U.S. derivatives market.
