Gallup Poll: Trump's approval rating falls to second lowest in history, Powell becomes the most popular leader
A new Gallup poll found that among 13 U.S. leaders, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is the most popular, with over 40% of respondents expressing approval of Powell's performance. This includes 46% of Democrats, 34% of Republicans, and 49% of independents.
Trump's approval rating stands at 36%, which Gallup describes as a new low for his second term, just slightly above his historical low of 34% set in 2021. The survey shows that Trump's approval rating still faces significant partisan polarization. About 89% of Republicans approve of his performance, while support among independents is much lower, and approval among Democrats is close to zero.
