South Korean payment giant BC Card partners with Base to promote a local payment pilot based on USDC

South Korea's largest payment processor BC Card has partnered with Base to jointly promote a local payment pilot in Korea based on the USD stablecoin USDC.

The collaboration plan will connect the Base wallet under Coinbase with the BC Card QR payment system, testing the process of USDC payments at Korean merchants, and ultimately settling in Korean won, to assess compliance, interoperability, and practical feasibility.
