According to Cointelegraph, this week, the Ethereum mainnet set a new record for daily transactions, reaching 2.2 million, while the average transaction fee has dropped to just 17 cents.

The highest record for Ethereum's transaction fees occurred in May 2022, when users had to pay over $200 for each transaction. However, despite the continuous growth in network usage, ongoing upgrades have significantly reduced fees. Since October 10, fees have also been on a downward trend. On that day, due to a major liquidation event that impacted the entire market, the fee was approximately $8.48.
