U.S. Congressman: Bitcoin's promise is a "permissionless, peer-to-peer payment system."
According to Bitcoin Magazine, U.S. Congressman Warren Davidson from Ohio stated that the value of Bitcoin lies in its being a "permissionless, peer-to-peer payment system" that allows individuals to have direct control over their funds, without third-party intervention, and enables rapid asset transfers.
