Kaito: Shut down Yaps and the incentive leaderboard, launch Kaito Studio
Kaito founder Yu Hu posted on Twitter that after discussions with X, both parties agreed that a completely permissionless distribution system is no longer viable. They will shut down Yaps and the incentive leaderboard, and launch Kaito Studio, which is a platform closer to traditional multi-level marketing, allowing brands to selectively collaborate with creators based on established criteria and clear project scopes. "2026 will be the year Kaito surpasses CT as its main platform and surpasses cryptocurrency as its main vertical," said Yu Hu.
Previously, X's product head Nikita Bier tweeted that the team is revising the developer API policy, and will no longer allow any applications that reward users for posting on the X platform (such as "infofi") to gain API access, as this has led to an influx of AI spam and reply spam on the platform.
