Polymarket's official Twitter frequently spreads "fake news," causing controversy, and Jeff Bezos personally debunks it

The prediction market platform Polymarket has faced widespread criticism in the crypto and media circles for posting false information on its official X account. Investor DCinvestor stated that he has unfollowed Polymarket's official account, not due to the product itself, but because of its frequent posting of a large amount of false information presented as "breaking news," which severely misleads users.

Media personality Rachel Karten also pointed out that the Polymarket official account "often publishes completely fabricated news," a phenomenon that is "very strange."

One of the focal points of the controversy is a tweet labeled "JUST IN," where Polymarket claimed that Jeff Bezos suggested Generation Z entrepreneurs should first work at real-world companies like McDonald's or Palantir before considering entrepreneurship. Subsequently, Jeff Bezos himself directly replied to deny this, stating, "No. I'm not sure why Polymarket would make this up."

The incident has raised questions about the credibility of Polymarket's information and its content review mechanisms.
