The JPMorgan Private Bank's "2026 Global Family Office Report" shows that despite the ongoing interest in cryptocurrency, 89% of the surveyed family office portfolios have no exposure to crypto assets, and 72% do not hold any gold.

The report indicates that the vast majority of family offices remain cautious, with only 17% of wealthy families stating they would prioritize themes related to crypto and digital assets, far below the 65% for artificial intelligence. On average, family offices allocate about 75% of their assets to a mix of public equities and alternative investments, with U.S. large-cap stocks dominating public holdings.

The report surveyed 333 family offices across 30 countries, with participants having an average net worth of $1.6 billion.
