BlackRock is in discussions with the U.S. SEC about tokenizing iShares ETFs

BlackRock is in talks with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to tokenize its iShares ETF products.

BlackRock's Chief Financial Officer Martin Small stated that he could not determine whether this process would be completed in 90 days or 12 months. Matt Hougan commented that this could be one of the key narratives to lead the market out of a bear market and noted that it is very beneficial for both layer one blockchains and the decentralized finance sector.
