Stablecoin issuer Agant has been registered by the FCA and plans to issue the GBP stablecoin GBPA

The issuer of the British pound stablecoin, Agant, announced that it has completed the registration of its cryptocurrency business with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, applicable to anti-money laundering regulations.

The company plans to issue a fully reserve-backed, 1:1 redeemable British pound stablecoin, GBPA, under the UK regulatory framework, and emphasizes that it will collaborate with regulators and financial institutions to provide compliant infrastructure for institutional-level payments, settlements, and asset tokenization scenarios.
