The regulatory agency in Nevada, USA, has sued the prediction market platform Kalshi

According to Businesswire, regulators in Nevada have officially sued the prediction market platform Kalshi, seeking a court order to prohibit Kalshi from continuing its "unlicensed sports betting operations." At the same time, regulators pointed out that Kalshi is experiencing rapid growth, with trading volume on Super Bowl Sunday this year being 27 times that of last year.

So far, a spokesperson for Kalshi has declined to comment on the matter but disclosed that they have requested a federal court to handle the case, noting that only federal law applies to prediction markets, and the issues underlying the state government's new enforcement action are the same as those currently being considered by the federal court.
