Analyst: Suspected private key leak of IoTeX leads to approximately $4.3 million in assets being stolen and transferred across chains

On-chain analyst Specter posted on the X platform, stating that IoTeX may have experienced a private key leak incident, with all assets in its token safe being transferred out by attackers, resulting in a total loss of approximately $4.3 million.

On-chain data shows that the attackers transferred multiple contract assets, including USDC, USDT, IOTX, PAYG, WBTC, and BUSD. Subsequently, the stolen assets were exchanged for ETH, of which about 45 ETH have been transferred to the Bitcoin network via a cross-chain bridge. The incident is still under further confirmation.
