ProCap Chairman: The importance of short-term oil prices significantly decreases in a deflationary environment, and the Federal Reserve should actively cut interest rates

ProCap Chairman Anthony Pompliano tweeted that if oil prices continue to rise, you will hear many people say that the Federal Reserve should avoid cutting interest rates due to concerns about potential inflation.

This is similar to the mistakes these people made regarding tariffs. We are in a deflationary environment, which means the importance of short-term oil prices is greatly diminished. You cannot evaluate a single input while ignoring the complex economic mechanisms. The Federal Reserve should actively cut interest rates in the first half of this year.
