According to the official blog, Coinbase has announced the launch of futures contracts for Advanced users in 26 countries across Europe, including Germany, France, and the Netherlands. This marks the first time European traders can access regulated crypto futures products on Coinbase.

The types of contracts launched include perpetual futures (with a 5-year maturity, hourly funding rate mechanism, and daily settlement) and fixed-term contracts (expiring monthly or quarterly, with daily mark-to-market based on the settlement price). The tradable assets include cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Solana, as well as index contracts like the Mag7+Crypto stock index futures. Key trading details include a maximum leverage of 10 times for some contracts and fees as low as 0.02%.
