According to Jinshi News, UBS Group Chief Economist Paul Donovan pointed out that although the consumer price index data for the U.S. in February predates the recent market turmoil, it remains crucial for the Federal Reserve's policy-making.

He expects that the underlying inflation pressures reflected in today's data should be moderate and believes that the Federal Reserve should only respond to broad-based price increases. Donovan emphasized that the Federal Reserve lacks policy tools to address isolated market disturbances.
