U.S. stocks closed, with the Nasdaq down 1.78% as chip stocks generally weakened

According to Gate's market data, U.S. stocks closed lower on Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 1.56%, the S&P 500 down 1.5%, and the Nasdaq Composite down 1.78%. Occidental Petroleum rose 5%, while TSMC and Intel both fell about 5%, NVIDIA dropped over 1%, and Apple fell nearly 2%. The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index closed down 1%, with Xpeng Motors up 3.5% and Alibaba down over 1%.
