Cursor plans to raise 2 billion USD, with a valuation of 50 billion USD
AI programming tool company Cursor is nearing completion of a new round of financing, aiming to raise at least $2 billion, with a pre-money valuation of $50 billion. This round of financing is expected to be led by Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz, with strategic investors like Nvidia participating, and Battery Ventures potentially joining as a new investor.
If successful, the company's valuation will significantly increase from approximately $29.3 billion six months ago. In terms of revenue, Cursor's annualized revenue was about $2 billion in February this year, and it is expected to exceed $6 billion by the end of 2026. At the same time, the company has achieved positive gross margins in some business areas through self-developed models and optimized cost structures.
