The three major U.S. stock indices opened higher, with Intel rising 24% to a new high

According to Gate market data, U.S. stocks opened with the Dow Jones up 0.1%, the S&P 500 index up 0.38%, and the Nasdaq up over 0.6%. Intel (INTC.O) stock price soared 24%, reaching a new high, mainly due to its first-quarter earnings report and second-quarter guidance exceeding expectations. AMD (AMD.O) rose 7.7%, Arm (ARM.O) rose 7.5%, and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 3.7%. Amazon (AMZN.O) rose 1.4%, and Meta reached an agreement with Amazon to use Amazon Graviton CPU chips for AI development.
