Michael Saylor strongly promotes STRC, calling it a less volatile alternative compared to BTC and MSTR

2026-05-11 08:27:53

According to Bitcoin.com, Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor recently published an article explaining the low volatility positioning of STRC as a Bitcoin-related investment tool.

STRC is Strategy's perpetual preferred stock, with an annual dividend yield of 11.5%, paid in cash monthly, and the dividend rate is adjusted monthly to encourage trading close to the $100 par value and reduce price volatility. Saylor stated that STRC is a credit product designed for income, stability, liquidity, and principal protection, backed by the company's Bitcoin and USD assets, with a preferred stock structure that is more scalable and durable than debt.

Strategy proposed to change the STRC dividend payment frequency from once a month to twice a month (on the 15th and at the end of the month), with the total annual dividend remaining unchanged, aimed at stabilizing the price, suppressing cyclicality, and enhancing liquidity. Saylor used a metaphor to distinguish the three: STRC is a passenger plane, BTC is a fighter jet, and MSTR is a rocket ship. Strategy currently holds 818,334 Bitcoins, accounting for about 3.9% of the total supply of 21 million. STRC has reached a scale of $8.5 billion within nine months.
