Coinbase has been authorized to offer global crypto perpetual contracts in the United States
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong posted on the X platform that Coinbase has been approved to offer global crypto perpetual contracts to users in the United States. He stated that for years, crypto trading has shifted overseas due to the lack of clear regulations in the U.S., and perpetual contracts are high-quality products that traders want but are not allowed in the U.S. It is estimated that about half of the perpetual contract trading volume comes from Americans using offshore products with relaxed regulations through VPNs.
